The once popular contact lens 1-Day Acuvue TruEye has as of 2022 been discontinued in most countries.
You may still be able to purchase it via some suppliers while there's some supply left, but the manufacturer suggests to switch to a different brand.
Alternatives to 1-Day Acuvue TruEye
The Acuvue brand has many new modern versions, which they recommend to try out instead. Some recommended alternatives are Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day, Acuvue Oasys 1-Day with HydraLuxe or 1-Day Acuvue Moist.
Please note that you should only change contact lenses in consultation with your optician to make sure the new model fits nicely on your eyes.
Why was 1-Day Acuvue TruEye Discontinued?
Simply put, the technology and material used in the contact lenses was inferior compared to newer contact lenses. While some people may still have enjoyed using them, they will over time notice better eye health when they make the switch to a modern contact lens.
