Johnson & Johnson has announced Acuvue Oasys Max 2-Week, a new reusable contact lens set to join the Acuvue Oasys Max lineup.

The new contacts will be replaced every two weeks, giving people who prefer reusable contact lenses a new alternative to the daily disposable contacts currently available in the Max range.

What Is Acuvue Oasys Max 2-Week?

Acuvue Oasys Max 2-Week is a new version of the popular Acuvue Oasys two-week contact lens.

The new contacts include technology already used in the Acuvue Oasys Max range, including TearStable Technology, an OptiBlue Light Filter and Class 1 UV blocking.

Johnson & Johnson says Acuvue Oasys Max 2-Week provides better comfort and visual clarity than Acuvue Oasys 2-Week, including at the end of the 14-day replacement period.

What Does It Mean for Acuvue Oasys Wearers?

The biggest change is more choice. Until now, Acuvue Oasys Max contact lenses have only been available as daily disposables. The new 2-week version gives people who prefer reusable contacts access to the Max range without changing to daily contacts.

If you currently wear Acuvue Oasys and are interested in the new version, you can visit your optometrist to have Acuvue Oasys Max 2-Week properly fitted once the contacts become available.
